Witch nitro rc should i get? Kyosho mad force, HPI savage, Tamiya monster truck, T maxx, or Revo?
In my honest opinion...stay away from the Kyosho and Tamiya. Run far and run fast and don't look back! These are not as durable as the Traxxas or HPI products and they, just like any other truck, will break parts sooner or later, and you will have a hard time getting replacement parts for them. Most hobby shops don't stock any parts at all for any Tamiya or Kyosho vehicles. The plastic that these are made of is not nearl as strong as the Traxxas and Hpi trucks. Also, these companies tend to make a model for a year or two and then come out with something new, discontinuing the older models and their parts. Been there done that. I have one of the older T-MAXX 2.5 trucks with an O.S. .18. This truck is tough as nails and the parts are readily available and are reasonably priced. I personally would go with the Traxxas T-Maxx 3.3 as first choice. Big-block power in a small-block package. It would be a toss-up between the Revo and the Savage for second choice. There are several different Savage models to choose from as well. The Revo is a bit more complicated than the T-Maxx and is a lot harder to work on. I like the design of the Savage more than the Revo. It is a lot simpler. Simple is good. The Savage is also a "big-block" engined truck and there are tons of really hot engines that can be put into this truck. Hope this helps.
